no im not good lol, ive just been lucky enough to ride very plasid (is that how you spell it?!) ponies. everyone says i have great balance.. but its more the horses that i ride rather than me. i also only get the chance to ride once or twice a week.. not having a horse makes it hard to have too many falls! lol

Amy, your new Schleich is so cute!!!! Yesterday I decided I really needed to expand my collection and try a new brand (cos I don't have enough money to expand my collection with Breyers very quickly!) so I went and bought a few Schleichs myself, nervously looking around to make sure no one I knew would see me buying toy horses(lol). For $8, they're amazingly good quality, but I wish they wouldn't just chuck them on the racks like they did, mine have a couple of small marks on them because of it . I got the arabian stallion (it has gelding anatomy!), lippizanna mare, and the shire horse. Now I just have to take some photos and think of names for them:) Falling off... that's something I feel I'm close to doing. Sure, I've fallen off plenty of times before, but not off Robbie (the TB I got 2 months ago) and I really don't want to any time soon, 15.3 hands is a long way down:/. One of the classes at the competition I'm going to on Sunday is bare-back rider, and I've riding him bareback for the past few days to practice, but his back is SO bony. One little slip sideways and I'll be off. But I won't think about that... Misty, those falls sound hilarious! I remember when I rode a pony who refused a lot, and we were doing a SJ round. I was just about to pull him around after he stopped in front of a jump, when he decided he would jump it after all and did a huge leap from a stand still! I was sitting on his ears for a while until I managed to push myself down in time for the next jump:)

Awww, Banjo's so cute! Yeah Misty, I always find I ride better when I'm relaxing and not thinking about it, but when I ride bareback I don't worry that much about my position anyway, I just want to stay on! Robbie's like Banjo and Misty with flatwork, he can get soooo lazy sometimes, but whenever we do jumping he decides he's a racehorse again, along with sticking his head up as far as he can. Once he gets going on the flat he's beautiful, and he's very athletic and so can jump really high if he wants to, its just a matter of getting the best of both sides...
