Hi all,
Laringa Park Stud (you pronounce it as 'La- rin- gah'-with the 'g')
has been around since 2003, where I first discovered the world of model horses through Horsepower Magaine, like most, and have been addicted ever since. Of course I had always grown up with Grand Champions, My little Ponies and such, but had just thought I was a big baby- until I got my first breyer horse in 2003- a chestnut SM named Nazeerah. And then came the grey Azteca stallion (without stallion parts- go figure!) from Breyer and then the rest came into my life and out of my bank account! Aaah the memories.
Here consists of my main show string:
* Nazeerah- chestnut Breyer SM sadddlebred
* three unnamed Special Run stablemates from ebay
* Black rearing arabian Breyer Stablemate (cant remember his name off the top of my head)
* Lord Cisco= Breyer Buckskin banjo (my fave)
* Abbey Lane- Buckskin National Show Horse mare (Breyer)
* Buckskin Roemer stallion (with stallion parts!)
* Breyer mare (like Cupid, but an earlier model)
* Thoroughbred Resin "Prince Kaspian"
* Clydesdale Resin (unnamed)
* Breyer classic AQH mare
and my fingers are sore so I think Ill stop...
But you get the picture. My horses arent top of the dollar or anything, but I cant see myself spending $1000 on one horse (however, spending it gradually on 20 $50 horses, now thats ok! : ) The inner workings of my mind.....
I tend to focus on the Western side of model horse showing, and my babies have won several Western Pleasure classes and Games etc. But now, I want to focus as well on dressage and the english side. Lets just say I want to broaden my horizons a little.
So now, I have to buy a dressage saddle and a dressage rider. Luckily, a lovely gal called Tamika made me a bridle. Thanks! ;D
Anyone with a decent dressage saddle or rider for sale??
I love photography, and as soon as I figure ou how to put pics of horses in my avatar, I will!
I love model horses and love meeting with people who enjoy playing with plastic horses like I do! ;D
Will keep you posted!
Amy
PS- Am at uni now, and not having fun studying. Which I should be doing, but I dont wanna! Maybe later?
(: OK- Logging off now- must* do* some work*
;D
EXCITING NEWS FLASH**************
Am stripping the paint off a custom Arabian from debbie poole from dragonstone studios- he is a claybody CM, many of you have already seen him- he has a broken leg, but with a bit of glue, and some paint, he could make a nice arab! Now, as of the hols, I will start the CM'ing process!
And, for all you fans of MAHOGANY QUEEN, She is IN PROGRESS- Have started to etch her stocking and extend her markings! EXCITING!
First I have to learn to pastel. For all those pastelers, have you seen JENNIFER DANZA's website?? There is a nice tutorial there too!
Here are my babies:
