Hey everyone. I'm Danielle (not Dani ), and my stable is Daley Park. The name Daley Park originated from when I played Horseland (*dies*) four to five years ago, and it stayed with me as I migrated from HL to Ludus Equinus. This was all long before I got into the hobby, so it only made sense that the name came with me into the hobby, too.
I first entered the hobby in late 2003 with a fuzzy small traditional horse from my childhood affectionately named GD (Golden Dollar) and my only Grand Champion named Elvis (Mr Exclusive) that I bought off my best friend for $2. I started off in the deep end in the IMEHA, and did terribly in evey class. ;D
Needless to say, my showstring has improved somewhat since then. I currently have three custom Breyers, one OF Breyer, one Grand Champion, one ceramic, and a few assorted micro minis - plus many more that are only dust collectors! You can view my show string at the address in my signature.
I am a member of the HPMHC, AIMHC, ABMHA, TSIMHC, ASMHF and probably a few others I have forgotten. I am a mod on ABMHA, and regularly judge for both them and the HPMHC. I show my models at all of those clubs, plus with other online shows such as EHS's online shows, and whatever I can find at the time. I love to judge shows and critique photos. I also hosted the Australian Model Horse Awareness Show in April this year, and will be hosting it years to come.
I own the Aust-MH yahoo group, a group for Australian hobbyists, and am holding Melbourne's first offical, large live show this year in November. Yay!
I am extremely creative, and although I don't CM (not enough patience! ), I am forever making props, tack and rugs for my models, and always retaking my photos in an effort to achieve perfection.
Um.. I'm 19 years old, and studying Professional Writing and Editing at VU. I have no life so am often online, lol. Don't have any real life horses, don't want any. I have one dog named Lady, but she is more of my dad's dog that mine.
And...that's about it. (Yes, it is more than just a hobby for me )
