Well, don't have proper pics of them yet - they just arrived yesterday - the start of my miniature horse stud.... "Legend" or butterball as I call him 'cause he has got fatter since this pic was taken by the previous owner. He is a 6 month old buttermilk buckskin pinto (tobiano) colt. "Coomba Angel" - her show pic Angel's paddock pic - the foal above is hers. This is Shanty - a buckskin mini mare, hopefully in foal already to a very small palomino mini. "Kungara Park Cool Hand Luke" (his name is bigger than him...). Lukey is a very horsey mini - we have had him for a little while now and will be our main stallion - he is a silver/taffy tobiano pinto, his mum was state champion a few years back.

Aww you are soo lucky. I'm so gonna have a mini horse stud. Are you going to show them or just breed? They are all so gorgeous. Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for them? Shanty's colouring is so pretty.

Well, they cost $1550 for the three (Angel, Shanty and Legend). That included transport costs and getting them sprayed (cause we are in a tick free area). Lukey was $400 all up (no transport costs as he come frm close by).
I am seriously thinking of showing them - Angel has been shown before and is really quiet - I think one of my kids could handle her. And both colts - Shanty needs some work as she is young and a bit shy, though she does load up OK. Of course, they are all getting their very hairy winter coats now so showing would have to be in Summer - Shanty will hopefully have her foal by then.
If you have a good look around there are nice ones out there that don't cost a fortune - though you do have to be quick for them - there are quite a few for sale because of the drought. I am still up for some more money as have to re-fence an area for them as I am not going to put them out with my 'big' horses. The minis will be getting their own paddock close to the house.
