Just as the title suggests my new pics need critiquing. I was going to take more when guess what.. IT STARTS HAILING!! And pretty big chunks of ice too. I had to hightail it out of the yard before my models were ruined. Presenting! [Name unknown] - bay Haflinger pony mare Minuet - bay Saddlebred mare [name unknown] - chestnut [breed unknown] stallion Sneekapeek - chestnut QH mare

Nice I like the third photo best, and its a nice model. The first photo's also quite good, but the tree trunk in the bottom right corner looks a bit too big. The horse is too dark in the second photo, and the fourth is a little blurry, but the backdrop and footing etc. are great .

Fantastic Effort Caroline!! They are lovely, I like the b/g and footing, maybe just a little blurry, perhaps zoom out a little and then you can crop later if you want to

well done Caroline! The first photo is lovely- trunk might be a bit thick, but heck= Ive seen thicker trunks in real life! The second is a tad dark- maybe try to let more light in? where were the pics taken? (outdoor light or artificial?) I love the pic of the WB= thats a winner! The fourth is a little blurry and a tad dark- as Georgie said= often its better to stand back and zoom in a little bit- then you can crop it later!

Thanks everyone! The photos were taken outdoors, but it was overcast due to the approaching storm. I'll try and retake a few of them tomorrow or when I next have time.

Hey Caroline You might want to set your camera to close up and change the flash settings to get rid of the blurriness.

hey caroline, the photo's are great, a tiny bit blurry but still good. the settup is great! Just one thing, you might like to change the breed of the SM pony, as Haflingers can only be chestnut with flaxen mane & tail (palomino like colour variations), no other colours are accepted just thought you should know so that when you show him he isnt marked down in breed classes =D
