Well.. i found some 'Apoxie' lookalike today same concept, self drying clay stuff. Anyway.. then came the idea i should do a drastic.. PROBLEM - ive never used this stuff in my life!!! hehe. So, with a few dodgy reference pictures, a classic rearing body, and heat gun (i told you it would be drastic!!!)..I set out to completely resculpt my little fellow. So far, i have only done his head.. and moved a few legs/tail around with a heat gun (which look horrible without the sculpt), But i think he is coming along OK for a first attempt! Here is a photo of him. it looks alittle funny only having the head done (he will have a massive bushy mane too). He is purposely photo'd on his side, because his legs will be resculpted to this position eventually. (you know that movement where a horse will just break out into a gallop?) Ill keep you posted on his progress! (and YES his head does look massive! hehe, i am going to bulk up his body and torso later.. along with thick legs and feathering ) and YES at the moment he looks like an ALIEN!!! mwahahaha

I'd never have the guts, either!! My re-paint is about as daring as I can go!! And even then, I wouldn't know how to blend the colors for say, a buckskin or bay or chestnut. I did my guy all with a brush!

Yea all fo this stuff can be so tricky! I love doing my horses, but I'm always hesitant to start on a custom cause I'm afraid I'll mess it up and it'll wreck the horse.
