Ok, I just Have to show off my latest CM!!! Introducing…..*drum roll* Oliva Rum! He was a chestnut Quarter horse, He’s now a chestnut Sabino ASH x paint gelding. I never really knew what etching was all about, and I finally managed to get some info and was surprised at how nice etched models looked, I’d always thought that etching needed special tools and never really turned out very well. As you can see, he was a pretty boring model that never did very well in shows, so I decided to give etching a try after reading about it. About 14 hours later, and not one etch on myself, tada! My Mum loves him (so do I). So waddya think? I was nearly going to do pinking on his nose, but not all horses have it, and to me, pinking gives a soft skinned look, something that really irks me. Now, I’m totally addicted to etching, finally something I can do without commandeering the kitchen table and making a mess! Anyways, Oliva is much nicer in person, he has ticking over his rump, but just like real horses, it doesn’t show up that well. i102.photobucket.com/albums/m98/Kurrawinya/models/olivab4after2.jpg [/img] i102.photobucket.com/albums/m98/Kurrawinya/models/OliverRumheadstudy.jpg [/img]

just look at the Breyer news page and it will have it under "articles" I wont do an article the same, cos that would be running into copyright.
