lol! youll never believe what happened! it was in jumping, an i turned misty towards the 3rd fence, but she swerved the other way, an i lost my balance, an the next thing i knew, i was practically on her ears! i couldnt get back into the saddle, so i had to get down, meaning i was eliminated, but i was laughing ssssssssssoooooooooooooo hard, i didnt care, an everyone was like, '10 out of 10 for trick riding' OMG, i was cracking myself! lol!

its really funny when i come off, coz i usually cling on, but i do this mental assesment, like 'is it easier to hang on, or just let go' then i decide, but usually i decide to let go. not that i fall off that often anymore. i used to ride this really unsuitable pony (australian riding pony- says it all) and i guess thats what taught me to stick on so hard. he wasnt like misty, he wouldnt wait for you. if you fell off, that was your problem, as far as he was concerned.

hahaha what a cheeky pony... but yes its definately in the breed. at our riding school the instructor has a little aussie riding pony.. shes gorgeous but exactly the same. 100 miles per hour and if you fall off tough luck! lol. ive only fallen off twice.. but i guess thats because i dont have my own horsie... *cries* oh well one day! im going to my first show next weekend so im stoked! hopefully buddy will behave tomorrow.. if not ill have to take a school pony i want buddy though!! haha.

The fence is great In perfect scale, too! lol your other half can make me a fence too ^^, just kidding. Oh don't you hate it when they rub out plaits?! I remember I was going to go to an Ivanhoe comp on Woody. He had a fairly long mane at the time and I did that lovelyplait that they do on Andalusians and Lipizzaners and I put hairspray and a skinnyhood (without the actual hood). I get up in the morning, walk out to the stables, putt the rug off and there's bits of really short hairs poking out (like 10 cms long). MUUUUUM! She cut his mane during the night I was so upset, lol.

lol you can teach a horse anything at any age, but when they're older it just takes longer >.< Mum cut Woody's mane because she'd always been at me to trim it. I think she just wanted to do the bobble plaits instead of the big long one along the neck Good luck at the show! I hope you can ride Buddy and that all goes well! And have fun!

Lol! I never did shows, but I helped friends who went through it all! I have the same 'assesment method' as you, Misty! I didn't have a saddle the first six months, and Snoopy used to do this beautiful little canter, do a sudden shy, then keep cantering! He was always so surprised when I came off! First i kept landing on my bum, then I started rolling down his shoulder and landing on my feet (his shy was as neat as his canter), then I got to the point where I could hang on to his neck till I decided wether or not it was easier to fall off or scramble back! ;D
